If there was a cinematic at the end, it would break the format. It goes to show how blizzard think of their customers. Wait a second, there is not a proper cgi cinematic at the end? i think there could be more than 1 more expansion. I still think Lilith will be the next expansion boss and that we will see all the lords of hell again at one point. Tyreal is still the Aspect of Justice not Wisdom. how does that help the eternal conflict.ģ-4 - yeah was just listing stuff at about the story line at that pointĥ - Maltheal is the aspect of Wisdom that was born out of the crystal Arch not the aspect of death ( no such thing in the lore) he just proclaimed himself death. as if he loses he now also lets diablo free. Tyrea l says that diablo is once again released after the fight so it would be reasonable to assume that diablo will return as a boss in the next expansion and probably will have some of death's powers in addition to this own because of mal absorbing the soul stone during the fight.ġ- That is a dumb move then. It doesn't seem likely that the angel of death will comeback. We couldn't hurt him until we combined the powers of the dead with our own. Could not harm his brother because he is only a mortal now. Diablo will come back, the other lords will not.Ģ.
His death releases diablo who is the prime evil now having absorbed all the other evils into himself. He absorbed the soulstone because we were beating his shit in and he needed the extra power. at least he didn't tell us his plans as much like Azmodan and Diablo did constantly.ġ. I felt their were loose ends that were not tied up and I wasdisappointed with Maltheal for not being smarter (since he is wisdom). OR Deckard Cain will be reborn out of the crystal arch as the new Arch Angel of Wisdom. Either Maltheal will be reborn out of the Crystal Arch. Imperious and/or TyrealĤ)Looks like the next expansion will involve Inarius and Lilith (as we found all the Maltheal lore books in Act4 and all the inarius and lilith books in Act 5)ĥ) Maltheals essence is not destroyed and I am guessing 1 of two things might happen in future. Genocide of a race (nephalem) is for the greater good? Or did it just pass through him because he was death itself and only we could kill him because we inherited some death powers before we killed him?ģ)I was expecting to see something about the Angris council after the fight. so wtf?Ģ) How did Tyreals sword pass through Tyreal in the opening cinematic? his actions were FAR from righteous (if the reason it passed through him was because the Sword of justice thought his actions were just).
There were a few things with the story that I didn't seem to understand:ġ) Why did Maltheal destroy the dark soul stone to release them from their prison but incorporate them into his being- That does not seem smart or the way to end the eternal conflict. Yeah that was a sore point! wanted one! and when 'congratulations' came up I was a bit bummed out.
